Sea Sun & Sand – Luxury Summer Vacation – 13 Days 12 Nights]

13 Days / 12 Nights

Quick look

The small island country of sri lanka is shaped like a teardrop and is bordered by the tropical waters of the indian ocean. It has 1700 kilometers of sandy coastline, 45 estuaries, and 40 lagoons, the majority of which are home to a variety of endemic plant life including mangroves.

Along its coastline of 1700 kilometers, sri lanka is home to approximately 30 popular beaches. One of the most breathtaking beaches in all of sri lanka is called kalpitiya. It is one of the numerous beaches, but it is the beach that receives the fewest visitors because of its hidden location away from the tourist path. In the region around kalpitiya, there are a total of 14 islets. The bulk of the islets in the vicinity of the kalpitiya show are abundant with flora that is native to the region, and bathalgunduwa is one of the most significant islets in this region. A voyage on a boat to these islets and some time spent snorkeling among them is an experience that cannot be forgotten.

Because of the civil war, tricomalee and pasikuda were cut off from the rest of the country for more than 30 years, from 1983 to 2009.

Trincomalee beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, yet it is also one of the beaches that receives the fewest visitors. This beach has an endless number of kilometers of pristine white sand. Trincomalee beach is well known for its beautiful scenery, pristine seas, and high standards of sanitation, and its waters are just the right depth for swimming. And if you want to go snorkeling, you should go to pigeon island, which is one of the two marine national parks in sri lanka.

One of the longest pieces of coastline that is protected by shallow reefs may be found in pasikudah. Because the water is only a few feet deep and the current is weak in comparison to the rest of sri lanka’s coasts, people walk for kilometers into the sea.

Day - 01
chilaw

One of our representatives will be there to meet you at the Bandaranaike International
Airport and will then transport you to your hotel when you arrive.

Leisure day at Chilaw

Drive: 70km, approximately 02 hour’s drive.

Chilaw is located two hours away from the airport and features a beach that is perfect for unwinding on after a long travel. It is believed that the name Chilaw originated from the Tamil word “Cllapam,” which may be translated as “pearl fishery.” During the 14th and 15th centuries, Chilaw was renowned throughout the world for its pearl industry. The months of June through September are Chilaw’s high season for tourism.

Day - 02
Kalpitiya

Anawilundawa wetland and bird sanctuary is a wonderful destination for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts. You may be able to spot a variety of bird species such as herons, egrets, storks, and ibises. The wetland area is also home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. I would suggest bringing along a pair of binoculars to enhance your bird-watching experience.

Kalpitiya is known for its beautiful beaches and water sports activities, particularly during the months of June through September. You may want to try your hand at kite surfing, wind surfing, or kayaking. Alternatively, you can simply relax on the beach and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Before you depart, I would recommend checking the weather forecast and packing accordingly. It is also important to bring sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the strong Sri Lankan sun. Finally, don’t forget to stay hydrated and bring plenty of water with you on your travels.

Drive: 65km, approximately 02 hour’s drive.

Fourteen different islands make up the region of Kalpitiya, which is located in the northwestern part of the country and sees less tourists than other parts of the country. Kite surfing is highly popular in Kalpitiya. In addition, Kalpitiya is a well-known location for activities like as snorkeling, scuba diving, observing dolphins and whales, and traveling to nearby islands.

En-route visit Anawilundawa Wetland – Bird Sanctuary.

Between Chilaw and Puttlam, in the country’s North Western area, is where you’ll find the Anawilundawa Bird Sanctuary. It’s in the Puttalam district. It is interesting that Anawilundawa has not one, not two, but three different habitats. These include a land vegetation environment, a fresh water vegetation ecosystem, and a coastline region with mangrove vegetation. This one-of-a-kind structure produces an environment that is perfect for the nesting of birds.

Day - 03
Kalpitiya

Kalpitiya is a town that offers a diverse selection of activities and attractions. In addition to its reputation as a destination for snorkeling, diving, whale watching, dolphin encounters, and island tours, Kalpitiya is a renowned destination for kite surfing. You can discuss your desire to go on an excursion with your chauffeur guide, who will then make the required arrangements to fulfill your requirements if you do decide to go on the excursion. You also have the option of spending the day at your own leisure.

Day - 05
Trincomalee

Following breakfast, you will travel to your next destination, Trincomalee, with the assistance of your chauffeur guide. Even though it is a lengthy trip, your chauffeur guide will make multiple stops along the road to show you historical landmarks, as well as the surrounding landscape and how the locals live their lives.

Because of the tragic conflict in Sri Lanka, the northeastern portion of the island remained inaccessible to tourists for a good number of years. Because of the area’s large Tamil population, it has its own distinct culture, and for the better part of the last three decades, it has been cut off from the rest of the island. As a consequence of this, the experience that one might have in Sri Lanka’s North-East area is very different from that in the rest of the country.

Trincomalee experiences its highest volume of visitors during the months of June and August; thus, the cost of hotels and other types of accommodations may be higher than typical during this time. Additional information about the region and its history will be given to you from your chauffeur guide, who will also be able to answer any questions you may have.

You will have a leisurely afternoon.

Drive: 225km, approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes’ drive.

En-route, you will have the opportunity to visit Kaludiya Pokuna (Black Water Pool).

There is evidence of an advanced hydraulic civilization in the complex of well-planned buildings that surrounds the pond. There are artificial moats flowing through parts of the buildings, including the bathrooms and toilets that are located within the buildings.

En-route, you will have the opportunity to visit Mihintale Ancient Hospital.

The remnants of what is now the hospital date back to the reign of King Sena II (853-887 AD). However, it is believed that a hospital was located at Mihintale a significant amount of time prior to the construction of this structure. The Buddha Shrine serves as the focal point of the interior chamber of the hospital.

Day - 06
Trincomalee

Nilavali in Trincomalee is one of the most well-known spots in the area for snorkeling. In the morning, you and your chauffeur guide will make your way to Pigeon Island in order to participate in a snorkeling adventure. Leisure afternoon.

Snorkelling at Pigeon Island Marine National Park.

It takes approximately 20 minutes by boat from the mainland to reach the Pigeon Island Marine National Park located on the east coast. The diving site at Pigeon Island is about one kilometer away, where visitors can witness beautiful coral formations, eels, schools of various fish, and charming boxfish.

Day - 07
Trincomalee

Today is your day to relax at the beach.

Day - 08
Pasikuda

Following breakfast, you will be transported to Pasikuda, where you will have the chance to observe a wide range of ecosystems as you pass rice fields and farms along the coast. After reaching your destination, you will have the remainder of the afternoon to relax at the hotel.

Drive: 110km, approximately 03 hour’s drive.

Pasikudah, also known as Pasikuda, is a popular beach resort town situated 35 kilometers northwest of Batticaloa in the Batticaloa District of Sri Lanka. The name Pasikuda is derived from Tamil and translates to “Green-Algae-Bay.” Historically, this location was a quiet Tamil village located next to the Kalkudah River. Pasikuda experienced widespread destruction due to both the Indian Ocean Tsunami of 2004 and the Sri Lankan Civil War.

Pasikudah boasts one of the longest stretches of coastline protected by shallow reefs. The water is only a few feet deep, and the current is much weaker than in other parts of Sri Lanka’s coastlines. This makes it possible for visitors to walk for kilometers into the sea.

Day - 09
Pasikuda

Today, you will have the opportunity to choose whether you would want to spend your free time at the beach or at the hotel pool.
