DIVERSITY EXPERIENCE NORTH – Typical Summer Vacation – 11 Days 10 Nights

11 Days / 10 Nights

Quick look

Jaffna was closer to South India than Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. And, prior to the civil war, Jaffna was the second most populous city after Colombo.

However, due to the civil war, Jaffna was closed to visitors and cut off from the rest of the world for nearly 30 years.

With its colonial influence and Tamil culture, Jaffna is a fascinating town. If you are more familiar with the culture of the island’s South, you will experience some cultural shock upon visiting Jaffna. When we compare the language, music, food, clothing, vegetation, appearance of the people, and living style of the people, it is completely different from other parts of the country, and when you go there, you feel as if you have landed in another country.

The civil war destroyed or damaged many of Jaffna’s oldest monuments and heritage structures, but when you visit Jaffna, you will be able to see several offthe-beaten-path attractions that are still natural and fresh.
